Hongqi continues to impress the Philippine automobile market as the luxury marque reinforces its commitment to world-class safety and innovation. Its newest flagship electric models—the Hongqi E-H7 and E-HS7—have both earned the 5-Star Rating from the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), one of the most respected vehicle safety testing authorities worldwide.
This achievement further strengthens Hongqi’s record in safety excellence, joining the E-HS9, which also previously received a 5-Star rating from the same organization.
To achieve the coveted rating, both vehicles went through a series of extreme safety evaluations. These included water submersion tests to assess flood resistance, as well as leakage, smoke, explosion, and fire tests—all passed successfully. The models also endured front and rear collision simulations at speeds of up to 100 km/h, along with side-impact assessments, with minimal structural deformation and airbags deploying as intended.
Both models also passed a roof compression test, which simulated a massive object weighing nearly 7.8 tons falling onto the panoramic glass roof. Even under that extreme pressure, the E-H7 and E-HS7 maintained ample survival space for occupants, proving their superior build quality.

The Hongqi E-H7, starting at ₱2,280,000, offers an impressive 650 km driving range on a single charge, while the E-HS7, starting at ₱2,580,000, provides a 540 km range per charge.
