JAECOO Philippines unveiled its flagship model, the JAECOO EJ6, at the 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, which took place from October 24 to 26 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The introduction of JAECOO EJ6 at the 12th Electric Vehicle Summit not only showcases OMODA & JAECOO’s automotive engineering DNA, but also reflects our proactive exploration and comprehensive assessment of the potential of the Philippine market,” said Terry Hu, Country Director OMODA and JAECOO Motor Philippines Inc. “More importantly, our participation in the summit exhibits our commitment to bolstering the EV revolution in the Philippines. We seek to inspire a shift towards sustainable transportation, and highlight how our vehicles contribute to this important transition. We want to connect with industry leaders, share our innovations, and inform consumers that OMODA & JAECOO Philippines is here to help the country usher in a new era of  sustainable mobility,” he added.

Engineered with the brand’s premium off-road vehicle engineering DNA, the EJ6 is poised to spearhead the off-road-capable EV movement in the Philippines. The latest off-road-ready EV features a cutting-edge six-in-one motor system and full-time electric four-wheel drive, guaranteeing an amazing driving experience with unrivaled power and off-road capabilities. The brand’s newest offering also features an unusual camping mode and a large design.

The brand’s flagship model, the EJ6, combines current technology with vintage rough styling. It has a striking boxy form that provides visual impact and identification. The AWD EJ6 variant features an all-aluminum body, which results in a significant weight savings. The EJ6, dubbed the “Acceleration King” and lovingly known to by users as “Easy 6,” has a light design that allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 6.5 seconds.

The Philippines is Southeast Asia’s second country to offer the EJ6. Following its successful launch in Thailand in September of this year, the EJ6’s local debut at this year’s electric vehicle summit signals the beginning of the brand’s intentions to accelerate the regional spread of its latest EV.

The multinational automaker is also increasing its involvement in the Southeast Asian market through partnership expansion. In the Philippines, the company recently teamed with local logistics leader DB Schenker to create a spare parts warehouse, giving strong support for the brand’s growth in the region and easing future expansion.

Prices of the JAECOO cars will be announced soon.
